Turkey-based yacht builder Mengi Yay has announced the launch of the 47.3-metre superyacht Ancora. She is the third hull to be delivered from the Mengi Yay Virtus 47 series and is expected to be delivered to her owner at the end of October.
Also known as NB100, Ancora marks the 100th yacht to be successfully delivered from the Mengi Yay facility in Tuzla, Istanbul. “Having delivered its 100th yacht on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Turkey, the shipyard is experiencing the honor of flying the country’s flag in international waters,” commented the shipyard.
“The yacht, which was created with special excitement by all employees at the shipyard, is the first yacht to be delivered to the American continent.”
Ancora features exterior design by VYD Studio, with naval architecture by Ginton Naval Architects. She has been designed with a contemporary and sophisticated approach with a sleek profile and interior design from Turkey-based studio Red Yacht Design.
The Virtus 47 yacht was sold last year in an in-house deal with Fraser brokers Alain Auvare and David Legrand representing both the buyer and seller during negotiations. She can accommodate up to 10 guests across five staterooms, and seven crew accommodated in four cabins.
Ancora boasts a comfortable beach club with transom and side opening, with an enclosed tender and a spacious sky lounge. As well as this, she has port and starboard bay windows with folding balconies.
In terms of performance, the aluminium and steel superyacht is able to reach a top speed of 14.5 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
