Mengi Yay Yachts has announced the launch of the first 52.5-metre Virtus XP53 yacht Gray Wolf (ex NB113) from its facilities in Tuzla, Istanbul. According to her builder, Virtus XP represents the largest yacht ever built by Mengi Yay and is the flagship of its current fleet.

Construction on the first Mengi Yay Virtus XP53 yacht began in 2022, with the yacht sold in March 2023 by David Legrand and Alain Auvare of Fraserduring the Palm Beach international Boat Show. In November 2024, the NB113 yacht was moved to the main hangar for outfitting following the completion of her hull and superstructure work.

Built with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, the explorer yacht features interior and exterior design by VYD Studio, while her naval architecture was crafted by her Van Oossanen Naval Architects. From the initial design phase through to construction, the project has been overseen by Antalyachts.

The NB113 yacht provides accommodation for up to ten guests across five sumptuous staterooms. Her master stateroom is on the main deck and includes a king-sized bed and a private foredeck. She can also accommodate up to nine crew to attend to her guests’ needs.

Key features onboard include a helipad, pool deck, master bridge deck, guest main deck, gym, and tender storage. Performance-wise, the 498 GT motor yacht will be powered by twin Caterpillar engines, giving her an expected top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Gray Wolf is set to commence sea trials in the coming days ahead of her delivery, and is expected to make her international debut at the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show.
