Greece-based builder Golden Yachts has announced the launch of the 77.7-metre superyacht O’Rea. The launch marks a new milestone for the shipyard, following the successful launch of the 36.13-metre O’Neiro earlier this year.

O’Rea is characterised by a streamlined hull, elongated windows, and a near-vertical bow. She features exterior design by Studio Vafiadis, which has created a powerful exterior profile with strong muscular lines.

The interior of O’Rea is a collaborative effort between Studio Vafiadis and Italian studio Massari Design. She features a contemporary interior design that showcases the interconnection between her interior and exterior spaces.

“We wanted to strongly connect the exterior social area with the interior without any boundary, created only by glass,” added Studio Vafiadis. Key features onboard O’Rea include a sculpted and architectural hatch, reminiscent of a gate, with black and metallic painted finishes which gives a modern feeling to the entrance of her beach house.

O’Rea showcases custom-designed furniture, and her main and upper saloon side ceilings feature slats to give the appearance of three-dimensional volume. She also exhibits a variety of precious materials throughout further accentuating the feeling of luxury, including a bespoke art collection created by Vasilis Dragnis in collaboration with Anna Chatzinassiou (ACH ART Advisory).

“One is struck by many refined details and precious materials, including: polished marble steps, decorated and backlit vertical panelling, chandeliers that penetrate the stairwell from the upper deck to the main deck with a polished champagne-coloured metal structure, and glass elements with three-dimensional patterns and different colour gradations” said Studio Massari.

O’Rea has been designed with relaxation in mind and offers guests the opportunity to unwind in her expansive swimming pool on the main aft deck under the illumination of her three vast skylights. The 2,185 GT yacht is also equipped with a health bar at the entrance of her lounge area, as well as a spa, sauna, massage room and hammam.

In terms of performance, O’Rea is powered by twin Caterpillar engines and is also equipped with Dynamic Positioning System (DPS) to hold a place without dropping anchor.

O’Rea will be on display at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show.
